Xylitol Navigation

Angel's Biography Angel Thompson was born on September 11th, 2004. It was Remembrance day when my parents saw her for the first time. The day later, I stared into a basket covered in blankets with 3 ribbons on the handle into the face of an Angel. When it came time to name our new puppy, we debated for weeks before deciding the perfect name; Angel. For the next years, she would be more than just a dog, she was almost more than a sister. She was the one who "licked" away the tears, and the only one who was always happy to see me. She was perfect - it was undeniable. Was she a true Angel? We didn't know, until she ate 3 pieces of sugarless gum containing Xylitol. Fortunately, my mom was aware of the poison and rushed Angel to the vet. Although she was in a severe condition, the vets did their very best and saved her. She was free of liver damage as well. Was she a true Angel? We still didn't know, but had a belief. We knew that my mom had been aware a year before for one reason: to save Angel. We knew we'd saved Angel for one reason: So she can save other dogs from the poison. It's up to you to make Angel and my goal come true. She can't do this alone, so I helped. I can't do this alone, so it's up to you. We all need to do one thing: be aware, spread the word and keep your and other's dogs out of harms way. Was she a true Angel? It's up to you to decide that. I sure think so.
