A true friend is a real friend

Someone who will be there until the end

Someone who will always be by your side

With you, even after the day they died

A true friend is someone who keeps your secrets

All the things you told them without regrets

They know the things you wouldn’t tell anyone else

Even the things you vowed to keep to yourself

A true friend is someone you can always trust

And their trust in you is always a must

You tell each other all your honest thoughts

Whether it be stories, opinions, you tell them lots

A true friend is someone you can run to and cry

Someone who listens to your tears without asking why

You cry out all your tears and pain

Not once would they think you’re insane

A true friend is someone you’d listen to

With all their pain and tears, always true

You listen to them through the many tears

Until all of their pain disappears

 A true friend is someone who doesn’t judge you

Around them you can be who you want to

You can show your true side

That around others you usually hide

A true friend is someone you’re never without

People know together is what you’re all about

They’re like a twin to you

Without them, you don’t know what to do

A true friend is someone you’re lucky to find

And when you do you’ll never leave them behind

They’ll always be there until the end

Somehow I know, I’ve found a true friend
